Wesley Cottage: Bed and Breakfast Accommodation near the Helford River

Early deeds for what is now known as Wesley Cottage refer to the existence of an ‘Old Meeting House’ in a plot of land formerly known as ‘Smith’s Fields’. It was here that, according to local tradition, John Wesley stayed and preached during the mid-1700‘s when the building was the farm of Carwinion Manor. Indeed, this might well have been one of the smallest Methodist chapels in the world.

Today, following careful restoration, this part of the cottage offers bed & breakfast accommodation for two people.

• Accommodation includes private shower room and WC, tea and coffee-making facilities, and television.

• We positively welcome international visitors to this exceptionally beautiful part of the UK, and accept both US Dollars and the Euro. Please note that we do not accept credit or debit cards.

• French and (some) German, Spanish and Italian spoken.

• Breakfast is provided in-room via a breakfast tray

• Much as we adore dogs, we regret that we cannot accommodate them on account that our (very, very friendly) Lurcher, Noobie, loves his garden very much and would sulk if he had to share it with another.
